From ricardo O’nascimento on vimeo:
“I am feeling blue.. and red” is a wearable experience where one can feel the colours on their skin. It is comprised of a technological glove that has a colour sensor embedded in the tip of its finger. The detected colour is translate into vibration and can be felt along the arm. The result is an intersemiotic translation of the colour perception from the sight to the sense of touch. With no compromise with the accuracy of the colour reproduction, this project is more a way of passing from one sign to another. We deal with multiple information codes, where the electric-electronic-information device gives a haptic-sensorial characteristic that permits the dialogue with an intervisual, intertextual and intersensorial rithms.
