Samurai Jack Aku Cosplay

Samurai Jack will be back with new episodes on March 11, which means Jack’s story will finally be finished — and so will Aku’s. To celebrate the upcoming premiere, I dug up an Aku costume made by Redditor tinkerterror in 2013 for DragonCon. She made the costume with her boyfriend, and her boyfriend wore it. The Aku cosplay is ten feet tall. Not surprisingly, it took a lot of fabric to make his robes — 13 yards, to be exact. They utilized a variety of materials to make the costume. The face was crafted from insulation foam and acrylic paint, while football shoulder pads, PVC pipe, irrigation tubing, and more were used for the frame and body. As for the hands, tinkerterror says:

Hands
PVC pipe
Fishing wire
Upholstery foam
Plastic bottles
Straws
Duct tape
Tears
