Back in March, we shared a look at Duo Queue Cosplay’s nearly completed Mass Effect costume. A member of the cosplay duo has now finished Tali’Zorah and worked with a photographer to get quality photos of her hard work. She explained what the build process was like:
My mask has a voice activated LED gem in the front and the gun also had pulsating purple LEDS built in throughout. The vast majority of the costume is made 100% by hand by me no 3D printing, the bodysuit is hand painted and my sewing machine broke so I had to do a lot of hand sewing even. I even learned how to solder and build a voice changer but the day of the convention it decided to not work which was probably because of my amateur soldering. The only thing I didn’t make was the purple fabric which I got custom printed from the website spoon flower. The costume took me about a year and a half to make but I work full time.
