Life size prop statues don’t only have to be used for display. If you come across one on clearance or at a thrift sale of some kind, you can disassemble it for parts and use it as a costume. That’s what Kyle Lusignan did for his Jar Jar Binks ensemble. He got the statue from a friend (it’s like this one) and turned it into a wearable costume. He used the clothes from the statue and paired them with Gungan skin from the statue and a mask — he sees through the mouth of the mask. It’s creative, and as you don’t see many Jar Jar costumes, unique.
