Annealing 3D Prints with Salt

A few weeks ago, I posted a video of Stefan at CNC Kitchen experimenting with annealing 3D prints in plaster to increased their strength.

I also posted this video in my weekly tips newsletter, and in response, a reader sent me this video. It shows another annealing process, this time using salt. You grind regular table salt into a fine powder, pack your 100%-infill print with it, and bake it.

Not only does this process allegedly improve print strength, it also makes your prints water- and gas-tight.
