Starlink v3 Secure 2″ Adapter #3DThursday #3DPrinting

This is an adapter allowing the Starlink v3 disk (square dish) to securely clamp to a 2″ PVC pipe. I spent a lot of time making sure the Starlink dish securely clicks into the adapter. Once secured the only way to remove the Starlink is via the release button. The adapter is held on the PVC pipe via a security screw through the pipe.

Bit Kit Box #3DThursday #3DPrinting

One storage box which finally collects all my hexagon bits and tips that did not have a home before!

It has room for 6×15 small bits, 10 medium sized, 5x90mm bits and two coupling parts. These last two lay horizontal and are held in place by a D10x5mm magnet fixed in a tiny drawer inbetween them.

The box itself is a remix of the wonderful rugged waterproof box by zx82net (thing:4838803), which I resized to outer dimensions 152×120.5mm, lid height 22mm, box depth 39mm.

Some sandpaper was required to fit the holder for the long bits. I also found out that while most of the hex bits stayed put in their holders, some of the smaller ones could slide out, which is why I recommend adding a cardboard rectangle directly under the bitholders.

Water point for small birds.

printed in PETG, the perch is held in place with M3 screws in melt-in threads.
the wall mount also uses M3 melt-in threads.

the bottle is a 500ml laboratory bottle with a 54mm thread.

It is important during assembly that the bottle has an inclination of 9°, >8° can work, >11° it overflows.
the angle of the wall bracket can be adjusted, so you can set the optimum angle yourself.

So that the print is waterproof, I print slowly with 40mm/sec. print with 5 top layers.

Vertical Axis Wind Turbine #3DThursday #3DPrinting

I wanted to have the bearing completely below the wind turbine. To do this, I enlarged the bars at the top and bottom and added 8 mm holes. I added a thin layer to the upper hole for better bridging. Since the wind turbine has a small base, I added supports and adhesive discs. For printing, the wind turbine should be turned in such a way that the first layer of the upper end plate bridges briefly. NabeHalter22 fits a 22mm rod, hub fits a 25mm rod or external 40mm clamps. If necessary, the axis can be fixed with M3 screws and nuts using the adjusting ring. I recommend a test print sunk in Z for the hub. Then measure the inner diameter (22.0 mm) and compensate for the possible deviation with a horizontal hole extension (Cura). Hub holder was printed with PETG and the rest with PLA.
An axle 8×310 mm and two ball bearings 608ZZ 8x22x7 mm are required, for the holder 4x cylinder head screws M5x35 with nuts.
If you want, you can glue “Savonius3KlLi” together and attach it to the protruding axle.

A ESP-CAM mount for OctoPrint monitoring and timelapse.

Part construction is not too sturdy as it was not a requirement. If you need to make this more resistant to stress for some reason, I have provided blend files (including a CAD Sketcher version).

The ESP CAM is able to connect via Wi-Fi to your OctoPrint server using this firmware:
