Bela Mini kit based on PocketBeagle provides sub-millisecond latency to create musical instruments

The Bela folks have developed their own device-hosted web-IDE and support for pureData, Supercollider, and their own C++ API on top of Linux running now on PocketBeagle. The big feature here, other than the ease of use, is the extreme low-latency. 0.5ms from event-to-output and 1ms from input-to-processing-to-output. They leverage the PocketBeagle programmable real-time units (PRUs) to achieve this. They’ve just launched a kit that includes a pocket-cape add-on board for PocketBeagle, the PocketBeagle itself and a number of add-on components.
