Raspberry Pi Streams Chill LoFi YouTube While I Code!

From our Ladyada …

“I love having one of these chill YouTube ‘radio’ streams going on while I code, but I dont like having a separate browser window open just to play music. Then I thought “hey lets have a Pi 4 do it for me!” The Braincraft hat has a display where we have a Chromium Kiosk window open so the adorable animation plays. Audio comes out of the onboard I2S codec for great sound – I’m using headphone/line out to a speaker Phil gave me, but it also has speaker drivers. The onboard on/off switch acts as an easy mute. Next up we’ll add the joystick to control volume up/down and maybe select different streams left/right.”

This is the stream we like to listen to but there’s lots of different ones on YouTube available! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5qap5aO4i9A

MagTag Cat Fed Clock

Never let your cat fool you into an extra meal again 🙂

Did you feed the cat this morning? Would the cat tell you if you did? Of course not – food is an indoor pet’s main source of entertainment. Using MagTag, we can create a clock that sets itself and allows you to save a reference to the last time you fed the cat – simultaneously maintaining your pet’s healthy weight, and your sanity.

Bonus: it’s compatible with dogs as well.
