Disney’s newest animated film, Moana, recently debuted. The lead’s costume features a strapless top, a skirt, and a necklace that holds the Heart of Te Fiti. YouTubers The Sorry Girls have a jump start on the costume craze with a tutorial video that’s pretty straightforward and doesn’t require as many materials as you might think. It’s basically fabric, paint, a grass skirt, and a handful of other supplies. The top for example, is made from a single piece of fabric and is painted to match Moana’s. See how it all comes together in the above video.
I can’t wait for someone to make a Heart of Te Fiti that glows with green LEDs.
If learning from video isn’t your style, you can read more at the The Sorry Girls’ website.
