One of my favorite parts of December is the many culture round-ups of the best of the best work from the previous year. While the lists range from funny to useless to downright genius, certain sources inevitably conjure up the year-end magic better than others.
This year, the 100 Best Books for Kids of 2016 from The New York Public Library stood out as especially excellent. The list includes such titles as Ada’s Ideas: The Story of Ada Lovelace, the World’s First Computer Programmer by Fiona Robinson, The secret subway, written by Shana Corey and illustrated by Red Nose Studio, They all saw a cat by Brendan Wenzel, and many more!
