This video and the accompanying web page ( http://ift.tt/2guQ3Mc; ) describe a circuit that gives a very nice thunder and lightning simulation. A recording of thunder is played on the DFPlayer and the Arduino samples that sound and flashes bright, white LEDs in time with the thunder claps.
