I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again — I’m often impressed by what the careful application of makeup can do. Maja Felicitas used it to completely transform Maul Cosplay, a.k.a. Ben, into Geralt from Witcher. You can track the progress in the above photo. It’s not just about coloring the beard. It’s about adding fake wounds and using highlight and shadows to give him the right look. It appears as if Maul Cosplay stepped right out of the video game and into life.
It took a lot of work to get his face right, and Maja Felicitas had to apply similar shading techniques to the torso. You can see the picture below. There are a lot of prosthetics for scars, and believe it or not, this was Maja’s first time applying them. They match the game closely.
