Books stored in the Milstein Stacks journey via the Mister Rogers-esque ‘Book Train’ conveyor system to the landmarked Rose Main Reading Room in about 5 minutes – each ‘train’ car can carry up to 30 lbs of books and the cars even swivel to stay upright when the machine travels vertically!
