Modified these fantastic spikes and created two different versions. Scaled them up 10x, as well, so I could control the final print size more easily. Both versions have thicker panels around the lower third of the spike, and a much thicker base with strong holes for stitching these onto clothing. I used them to make a festival costume by sewing them into a hoodie along with the adafruit LED setup. My spikes are printed at 11%, 10%, and 9% scale, respectively, as they go down the back of the hoodie. The “thick base” version is for scaling the design below 9%, as it did a couple at 7% for the top of the hood and their bases at that scale came out too thin, so the “thick base” version addresses that.

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!
Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
