Yet another Subnautica knife created from scratch in Fusion 360.
You have several options printing it:
- One color symmetric – take “one_color_full” stl, print twice (one mirrored) and glue together.
- One color with thinner asymmetric blade (may be used as envelope knife) – print “one_color_full” and “one_color_handle” stls and glue together.
- Double color symmetric – “double_color_full” + mirrored, “double_color_handle_part2” + mirrored and two decorative rings.
- Double color with thinner blade – “double_color_full”, “double_color_handle_part1”, “double_color_handle_part2” + mirrored, two decorative rings.
Note that you don’t need multicolor extruder setup – just printing parts with different color filament.
Options 2 and 4 have center of mass shifted towards handle and you can easily spin a knife on your finger. I recommend printing one of theese.
Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!
Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
