Sandworm #3Dprinting #3DThursday

Friendly Articulated Sandworm by DarkKumquat Thingiverse

DarkKumquat shared this project on Thingiverse!

Bless the maker and his water. Bless the coming and going of him. May his passage cleanse the world. May he keep the world for his people.

This little Shai’Hulud should not need any supports but may need to be scaled up for his teeth to be printable, depending on the resolution of your setup. If the joints are stuck you may need to use your maker hooks to pry on the segments to loosen them. Feed a diet of spice mining platforms, avoid water, and soon it will grow large enough to transport you across the sands.

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!

Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
