Krampus Horns #3DThursday #3DPrinting

Zool6559 shares:

Going to a Krampus event and couldn’t find any decent horns to wear… What!!
there’s alot out there, but nothing quite what i wanted, so i designed my own.
Printed the horns out in Overture green rock PLA and added some paint tones with Pannel line accent colors brown, black, and gray. My printer nozzle clogged printing out the 2nd horn. Could have taken it as a fail, but to be honest it works!!
Head piece was printed out with CC3D color change, brown to green then scuffed up with some sand paper. Tried using wood PLA but the material just doesn’t hold up with cosplay stuff.
Added the small red ball from some other decorations i had around the house. Despite the look on my face i am busting up inside over it. The perfect final touch.

Designed the basic shapes in Fusion 360, then added texture in Meshmixer.

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!

Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
