Ben Hardill runs a number of Raspberry Pis on a home network providing the following services:
- Primary DNS Server
- Web Server
- Node-RED Running home automation
- Email Server
- SIP Server
These are split over a number of different devices and over the years I’ve had a number of SD Card failures that have meant I’ve hard to rebuild the installations a few times. So I decided it was time to look for a better solution.
There are a couple of solutions these days with anything newer than a Pi 3 you can boot from a USB drive or totally from the network.
