A mother-daughter conversation gives birth to an empowering STEM book. A story of inspiration, inclusion and whimsy in the world of tech — one for all ages and genders.

Ara the Star Engineer sets to inspire children between 5-9 years to explore the magic of coding by showcasing real-life engineering superheroes of diverse backgrounds. Highly praised by industry CEOs and children’s authors, the book releases Oct 11, in celebration of the International Day of the Girl Child. To preorder, visit https://www.arastarengineer.com. Book’s sales proceeds will be donated to STEM nonprofits.

Conceived and written by Komal Singh: a program manager within Engineering at Google Canada, a mother of two, a woman in tech, a person of colour.
