Honeycomb writing utensil organizer #3Dprinting #3DThursday

Honeycomb writing utensil organizer studentdesignchallenge by NorthernMaker123 Thingiverse

NorthernMaker123 shared this project on Thingiverse!

This Pencil holder is no ordinary pencil holder, it is a creative pencil holder. it is used to organize your pencils, colored pencils, pens ect.. It helps you find what you need without digging through a box looking for your pen, while also serving as a desk decoration.

One issue that I had while designing this was making the hexagons with even space between them, I had to redo the entire thing when fusion 360 had a error and closed out without saving.

I would re design the size of the overall holder, it was big and had a long print time.

3Dprinting helps strengthen the design by making it fun to look at, and it helps people that might print this learn about 3Dprinting.

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!

Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
