Hole center attachment for digital calipers #3DPrinting #3DThursday

Hole center attachment for calipers by Lorenzo 99 Thingiverse

Lorenzo__99 shared this print on Thingiverse!

UPDATE: V2 and V2 Long Reach have been added, V1 is pictured in the images.

V2 is a narrower by 4mm OD and more pointy
V2 Long is even more pointy to extend the reach of your caliper blades.

*Note these must be printed in pairs to use them properly.

This is a slide-on attachment for hole center measuring for a digital caliper. I designed it for my tacklife (a clone of an actual good caliper) but it’ll probably fit most. Check that your blades are 4mm thick and have a 45 deg taper at the end (just eye ball it).

It is designed to fit on the OD side of the calipers. Suited to measure distances as small as 21mm.

These fit caliper blades that are 4mm thick and have a slight taper to hold them in place. I’ve also included a lanyard hole to fit a piece of wire, elastic band or string into. If they slip off the blades just loop string over the top of the caliper.

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!

Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
