Slow Feeder Dog or Cat Food Bowl (Anti Choking Bowl) #3DThursday #3DPrinting

Slow Feeder Dog or Cat Food Bowl Anti Choking Bowl No supports by ArKay894 Thingiverse

Slow feeder bowl to slow down your pet when eating.

Should be fine for wet or dry food, just scale up or down to suit your pet.

Some cats and dogs eat very quickly and can make themselves sick or choke as a result, this should slow them down and be better for their health in general – it can also discourage overeating and make eating more fun for them!

All edges are rounded so safe for them to eat from but make sure you use a food safe material when printing (I used food safe PETG and it’s held up in the dishwasher as well).

There are a few models – two are more lightweight to make it easier for you to pick up and quicker to print – on one of these there is also a handle cut out but all angles should be shallow enough that supports aren’t needed.
If you’re having trouble without supports or want the bowl a bit heavier there’s a solid version which is the print in the photos – needs no supports and just crank up the infill for a heavier bowl.

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!

Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
