Light Up Cat Ears #3DThursday #3DPrinting

Sophiathefabulous shares:

This light up cat ear headband is the purr-fect project for people that love cats! You can 3D print the pieces of the model then use some simple circuitry and assembly to build the final set of ears – make sure to decorate them and make them your own! I am still tweaking the headband dimensions to make the headband more comfortable and better fit the head, however, I would recommend that you tweak the dimensions on your side as well to best fit your head shape and size. There is also a sped up process video that shows the entire process of making this, from the CAD stage to 3D printing, electronics, assembly, decorating, and the final product.

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!

Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
