Just three weeks ago, we posted about the Petabyte storage array for a Raspberry Pi. It was cool but not working 100%.
In an update, Jeff Geerling posts:
60 hard drives, 1 Raspberry Pi — And now it actually works! It’s not the fastest storage server in town, but it’s good for about 70 MB/sec write speeds and sucks down about 500 Watts of power.
With a number of fixes, such as upgrading firmware on the drive controllers, Jeff was able to get the array stable and measure the power usage in various modes.
