Work In Progress Aion Mastarius Costume

Back at the beginning of December, I shared some work in progress images from Chimeral Cosplay Art’s Mastarius build from Aion. It was about fifty percent done at the time, and she had poured 75 hours into the project. She just shared another update on Reddit and Imgur to show how much she’s accomplished in the last two months — she’s planning to finish the ensemble for a cosplay contest in March.

She finished painting and weathering the breastplate and made further progress on the tasset armor. It looks like she completed the boots, too; she used thermoplastic, leather, suede, and EVA foam. And the part I’m most interested in: the replicas of Mastarius’ feathers. Chimeral used plastic and dyed the clear plastic to match the color of the character’s wings.
