‘Gloria Victis’ is a Short Film Made with 3D Scans from the Louvre, STL Files also Available #3DThursday

‘Gloria Victis’ is a 5-minute film from Benjamin Bardou that is a montage of up-close shots from paintings, historical film segments from predominantely black-and-white film era, and ultra-contemporary digital renderings of the Cour Marly, one of the signature wings and destinations inside the Louvre. And what’s especially special about these digital renderings – made from 150 photographs using “Photoscan” (maybe they mean PhotoScan?) – is they are also made available online here. So you could theoretically print your own lil’ Cour Marly!

Gloria Victis is a 5 minutes short movie in which the action takes place at the Louvre Museum in the Cour Marly .
This movie by the technique of film editing of computer-generated images, paintings and film sequences seeks a reinterpretation of the History from the perspective of the vanquished.
