Pentasynth: A homebuilt pentatonic keyboard and synth

Blogger mit-mit has created a pentatonic synthesizer based on the Adafruit Metro Mini!

Pentasynth is a homebuilt keyboard and synthesizer based on a pentatonic scale, featuring 3D printed and carved parts (including the keys and contacts) and runs on an Atmel 328P Adafruit Metro Mini microcontroller. It features a user-selectable accompaniment including different drum patterns, bass lines and chord progressions and allows the user to play a pentatonic melody line over the top. It’s easy to play for people with limited background in music (such as young kids) and encourages experimentation and improvisation.

See Hackaday for an article and mit-mit’s blog post for more information.
