Shared by gibell on Thingiverse:

A seven piece puzzle which assembles into three sizes of tetrahedron. The basic piece is made from five rhombic dodecahedra, and comes in two mirror image versions (orange and yellow in the photos). This piece is the “tetrahedron building block” (TBB). Easy: take one orange and one yellow TBB and build a small tetrahedron (order 3). Moderate: take two orange and two yellow TBB’s and assemble a medium tetrahedron (order 4). Difficult(ish): take three orange and three yellow TBB’s, plus the red piece and assemble a large tetrahedron (order 5). All these puzzles have a unique solution.

The unusual shaped pieces take some getting used to. But after you play with them a while, the three challenges will probably not seem difficult. The base plate is optional but may help with learning how the pieces can pack.

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!

Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
