Scientists Improve the Age Estimate of the Earth’s Inner Core

Inside a laboratory chamber at the University of Texas, researchers have created conditions similar to the center of the Earth. This mini-Earth has provided evidence that the earth’s solid inner core is at the younger edge of the possible spectrum. Here’s more from SlashGear:

…the new findings are significantly older than another recent estimate putting the earth’s core age at 565 million years.
