Pi Zero Official Lid Case #3DThursday #3DPrinting

Pi Zero Official Lid Case by Voodle Thingiverse

The offical Pi Zero case comes with some extra lids for different functions. Make use of all those lids! Shared by Voodle on Thingiverse:

Here’s a case for use with the Pi Zero Official Case lids.

I wanted to make use of these spare lids for the official Pi Zero case, so here’s a fancy case that fits the lids. The lid just snaps on and the fit is really close to the original.

There’s no SD-card slot but feel free to remix it or ask if you’d like a hole for the SD-card slot, since it can be awkard to get the Pi out otherwise to change the card.

Printing at 0.2mm layer height is fine, but using adaptive layer height will give a slightly closer fit.

No supports required for printing, there should be enough space for most Micro-USB and Mini-HDMI cables to fit even with some sagging on the top of the ports.

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!

Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
