gvera shared this project on Thingiverse!
This is the second version (and more sizes) of my previous embroidery hoop design https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4257753
The screw is improved with better grip and a body that tapers outwards to make tightening and untightening easier. It also has a larger thread that seems to last longer than the previous one. It’s still not the strongest way to do this and I will eventually make a version that uses a metal screw when I get tired of printing these.
For best results print the screw with at least 3 shells. I normally print them at 100% infill too, but it might not be necessary.
The rings can be printed with 2 shells and 15% to 20% infill.

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!
Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
