DC Water Pump #3DPrinting #3DThursday

DC Water Pump by GuyCreations Thingiverse

GuyCreations shared this project on Thingiverse!

Designed to use the common DC motor like in the original model.

I changed a LOT of things compared to the original, but still felt I should credit it.

It’s technically submersible but don’t expect it to last long if you do as waterproofing is nearly impossible. I used it to replace the pump in a mini water fountain I bought.

The only necessary files are the housing and the impeller, but the other two do make it look more professional. The face-cap is glued on using superglue or some other non-water-soluble glue.

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!

Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
