Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 debuted in theaters on May 5. In one of the hilarious sequences in the film, Peter Quill told Yondu he looked like Mary Poppins. The joke turned into fan art, and as I saw while I was browsing the Yondu hashtag on Instgram, it also turned into a costume. Cindy Salvus, a.k.a. Cins Artistry, threw together a handmade Yondu and Mary Poppins mash-up costume in the seven days before Comicpalooza started on May 12. She crafted a skirt, ravager style vest, and Yondu’s fin in a short period. She found herself with a little extra time, so she added a makeshift blade and buckles on the arm of the costume.
