Season seven of Game of Thrones has featured Euron Greyjoy in action and ridiculously confident. Costume designer Michele Clapton leaned into Euron’s bad boy, doesn’t care about consequences demeanor in creating the character’s costume for the season. Making Game of Thrones, HBO’s behind the scenes blog about making various aspects of the series, shows off some detailed photos of the costume and props. Clapton shared some insight about Euron’s current threads:
The slashed leather jacket is linked to the slashed front of the Greyjoy armour, but his is methodical; repetitive. He systematically cut the tongues out of his crew, so I think he did this to his jacket himself.”
