With the Game of Thrones season seven finale approaching, let’s look way back to the first season and Khal Drogo. Instructables user rainingfiction is putting together a Khal Drogo ensemble for her father and figured out a way to make his metal belt for about $30. She spent 10 hours making the medallions with horses on them with polymer clay, resin, paint, and a few other supplies.
She started by sculpting one of the medallions with the horse symbol and one of the beads on the belt so she could make a mold to replicate them. She explained the mold process:
The mold is made from a two part putty that I rolled together. I carefully pressed it over the cured clay into all of the tiny details, and let it cure for 30 minutes.
Then over the coarse of a day I make 8 copies of the cookie out of two part resin. I followed the same process with the beads.
Get the scoop on the full process over at Instructables. No need to take your Dothraki horde with you.
