Cosplayer Lara Wegenaer Arts is familiar with bringing water princesses from The Legend of Zelda games to life. She crafted a striking Zora costume last year, and she recently finished a Princess Mipha cosplay from Breath of the Wild. The outfit has myriad challenges to consider from the makeup, to the trident, to the bodysuit. Mipha also has head tails.
To construct the head pieces, Wegenaer made a rough shape by drawing them onto paper. She transferred the pattern to foam — a soft foam like upholstery foam — which she covered with fabric and then embellished with paint. You can see a couple of pictures in the photos below.
