Code of conduct for communities (open-source, electronics, events, and more) #codeofconduct

Adafruit 2019 4325

For electronic communities, and open source communities, codes of conduct are just as important as the code published, and the products shipped. Building a community means spending time on it, working together on policies, and making something inclusive.

We’ve published the “Adafruit Community Code of Conduct” and have been providing updates for online chats, events, and more. If it’s helpful, please use and adapt for your communities –

In the interest of fostering an open and welcoming environment, we as contributors and leaders pledge to making participation in our project and our community a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level or type of experience, education, socio-economic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, or sexual identity and orientation – more.”

We’re collecting examples and will update the list as more are published, here is a start…
