DIY Facemask template based on Adafruit design #3DThursday #3DPrinting

DIY Facemask template based on Adafruit design minimal plastic Size S XL by SubBass100 Thingiverse

Cool version of an Adafruit pattern! Shared by SubBass100 on Thingiverse:

Based on the Adafruit article located here:
https://learn.adafruit.com/sew-a-cotton-face-mask/overview
I created this hard template to be printed and used instead of the printed template as it can be reused many times without fatigue and can also be used by people without (paper) printers. Enjoy!

I started using the template and found that the directions were very concise and worked well. (sew-a-cotton-face-mask.pdf) My paper tracing / cutting / guessing skills are not very good though (for making the paper template) so Bradley and I created a super fast, thin, 3D printable hard template that you can use as a stencil. Trace the inside for the actual measurements and trace the outside for 1/4 inch extra for sewing!

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!

Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
