The Making of the Beast from Beauty and the Beast

Making masks and costumes based on characters from film is a tale as old as time. Prop makers El Taller Factory got extra enchanting when they made a replica of the Beast’s make from the recent live-action Beauty and the Beast. It started with a sculpt that they refined until it looked like the Disney character. They added hair in small groups and punched the roots in my hand. Oh, and of course they fashioned the horns by hand and the full costume. The above timelapse video shows the intense amount of work that went into getting the costume right.
