Batsignal #3DPrinting #3DThursday

Arquit3D shared this 3D printed Bat Signal on Thingiverse!

NOTE: This has been a long project and it has suffered from several modifications. Please refer to Print Settings for more details.

The model represents the Batsignal as seen in the original movie “The Dark Knight Rises” from 2012.
It has been modelled at a 1:8 scale approximately according to Batman height estimations, nevertheless it can probably be scaled up. Scaling it down will probably need severe post printing modifications.

If you like the model, please take a second to consider tiping the creator, just on the left side of your screen. Modelling and preparation for 3d printing took around 20 hours. Just the 3d printing itself took around 65 hours, and sanding, painting and weathering have taken countless hours of work, I’d say more than 100 easily. Take a look again at the pictures and leave a comment about what you think, tip through Thingiverse (you just need a Paypal acount), or check my patreon if you feel amazed by the quality of the model.
Do you want a copy of the blueprint, just let me know by private message! It makes the perfect partner for the 3d printed Batsignal.

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!

Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
