This Is What Happens When You Combine Tech with Piercing #WearableWednesday #wearabletech #art #nailart

LED Nail Art

So I didn’t know piercing nails was a thing, but this manicure with LEDs spotted on Teen Vogue definitely gets interest. Park Eunkyung (@nail_unistella) decided to hack clear nails by drilling holes and adding LED earrings. Usually when I see someone with a drill near their finger I’m concerned, but since these are faux nails, there’s just the matter of making sure a real nail is not harmed. While this style may make your fingertips harder to use, it does create a sparkly signage effect, which is what this nail-ista loves.

I would actually like to see a tiny version of this manicure using surface-mount LEDs or LED sequins, silver paint and tiny button cell batteries. Can the battery fit under the nail? Someone please give this a try and report back with photos! Our LED sequins come in a variety of gemstone colors that are perfect for the holidays, so you can match your dress or go over-the top and match your ugly sweater.
