My Yubikey 5 NFC was plugged into a USB hub and was a sticking out upright – I wanted to make it easily accessible and removable so I designed and printed this holder which allows you to connect it via USB C so you can place it anywhere on your desk/under your desk etc.
You need to purchase this USB C female to USB A female coupler from Amazon for this particular design to work. Once printed, I added a dot of superglue under the coupler and slid it into the holder, and it’s stuck solid.
The Yubico logo is on the top to indicate the orientation of inserting the security key. This design should work with any USB device that has similar dimensions to the Yubikey 5 NFC.
The image with 4 variations simply shows the 3 previous designs I did before I got to the final one which worked perfectly.
Hope people find this useful!

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!
Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
