Burning Man Begins Sunday August 25, 2024! Have Your Projects Ready! @burningman #BurningMan2024

This year the theme for Burning man is Curiouser & Curiouser – it’s time to tap into the wonderful and weird, and get making.

We can’t wait to see what comes out of Black Rock City.

If you need a last minute part or item you might still have time with some of our expedited options…but you better hurry!

Burning man runs from August 25, 2024 – September 02, 2024

We have a handy list to help your planning go smooth!

  • Allow ample time to design, build, test and troubleshoot your project.
  • Don’t wait until the last possible day…there won’t be time for additional parts, etc (and popular items such as LEDs always sell out).
  • Be aware of the Adafruit shipping cut-off times
  • We do not offer messenger services or special delivery options to the Playa. We get asked this each year about this.
  • Please use the Adafruit technical support forums for all technical assistance; do not email the staff directly. Here’s a guide for creating your post.
  • The are no returns of products used for your Burning Man project, once it’s been used, that’s it.
  • We do not have visitors or a retail store for purchases.
  • We cannot sponsor a camp or do special discounts, it’s not fair to everyone else and we do not want/need Adafruit’s logos on your camp (see the Ten Principles of Burning Man).

Read more about this year’s theme here:

The 2024 Burning Man theme celebrates puzzles without answers, embraces the irrational and the absurd, and invites the unknown over for tea. Because it’s in those timeless moments of not knowing, when we’re consumed entirely by curiosity, that we experience our most profound learning, growth, and creativity. All great journeys of discovery begin with a question; without that spark of curiosity no movement is possible. Staring into the void of unreason, we experience the wonderfulness of wonder, and the staggering awesomeness of awe. Which leads inexorably to the asking of better questions. Which is, after all, what makes us better than the robots.
