When You Want to Be a Solar Eclipse #WearableWednesday #ElectronicHalloween #Arduino #Halloween #DIY

Last year Sarah Schechter wowed people with her Stranger Things light up t-shirt. This year she went with a real life strange thing—a solar eclipse. I’m definitely applauding the STEAM angle here! A simple drum-like form was created with NeoPixels lining the outside circle and zig-zagged across the center section. The LEDs have been programmed in a wash, giving the illusion of light gradually being blocked. This is a great DIY costume for families to work on using Arduino. Take a look at our GEMMA microcontroller and NeoPixel RGBW LED strips to make your own version. Code and wonder make this an educational #ElectronicHalloween. Love you, Sarah!!
