Hackaday Badge Case #3DThursday #3DPrinting #adafruit

shmuma shares:

Case for Hackaday 2018 Conference Badge I designed myself. There is another 3d-printed case here https://ift.tt/2SY4JUc, but I didn’t like it as it is heavy, massive and hard to print.

My version doesn’t require any supports to be generated, require 2.5 hours to print the bottom part and 4 hours to print the top cover (on my settings).

There are two versions of top cover – with and without logo. If you want to print version with logo, you need to slice Logo*.stl files in separate print (make sure they have the same offset as cover), print them, then replace plastic and print the rest of the case.

Every Thursday is #3dthursday here at Adafruit! The DIY 3D printing community has passion and dedication for making solid objects from digital models. Recently, we have noticed electronics projects integrated with 3D printed enclosures, brackets, and sculptures, so each Thursday we celebrate and highlight these bold pioneers!

Have you considered building a 3D project around an Arduino or other microcontroller? How about printing a bracket to mount your Raspberry Pi to the back of your HD monitor? And don’t forget the countless LED projects that are possible when you are modeling your projects in 3D!
