Eric Heep’s Performance for Augmented Piano + Electronics #Arduino #MusicMonday

We found this video of Eric Heep’s Composition Recital from Meason Wiley on vimeo:

A performance for Augmented Piano + Electronics from Eric Heep at the ACC Composition Recital in 2013. The piece utilizes two proximity sensors, attached to either side of the keyboard. The distance of Eric’s hands to the sensors controls buffered playback of the incoming piano audio through a granular process using Reaktor software. The sensor data was processed using Arduino, and various settings were controlled in real-time via a custom-designed stomp box.

Read more about the performance on vimeo. We also highly encourage you to check out more from Eric Heep and Meason Wiley!
