Big Cats Made From Small Dots #ArtTuesday

Created using thousands of tiny dots, the warming tributes to tigers, lions and panthers combine the Yorkshire artist’s love of stippling with abstract art – something her father specialised in when he was at college.

“There’s a nostalgic quality to these illustrations,” says Kelsey. “As if from a long lost dream. The cats are drawn with thousands of tiny dots with a soft abstract background and foreground appearing like colourful fog or clouds. The inspiration behind the illustrations was a growing fear that they will one day be extinct, and one day may become merely a dream.”
