Music video created with 129 spinning records, and no special effects #MusicMonday

Via Mashable:

No records were broken in the making of this video.

Said The Whale, a Vancouver based pop-rock band, just debuted an epic music video for their song “Record Shop.” The clip features 129 records, all covered with carefully cut out photos of the band as they play guitar, sing, and dance as the record spins. When the records starts, the images create an awesome kaleidoscopic effect, similar to stop motion.

However, no visual effects were used in the making of the video at all. At the beginning of the video, we see a short montage of behind the scenes footage. There’s a green screen, a printing press, and a lot of records.

If you’re a fan of flip books (or records), you’ll want to watch this vid.
