I’m often impressed by how much time people spend working on costumes. This Frost Dragon from Skyrim, for example, took House of 1,000 Glue Sticks almost three years to build. The family cosplay group, including Jennifer Huyser Dunahee, debuted the dragon at Grand Rapids Comic Con over the weekend and won first place in the group category. Making the giant creature hasn’t been easy, but they’ve persisted. They explained:
We made him very incorrectly, lol! It’s all been a learning experience, and we would do most of it differently if we ever build another one. That being said, he’s basically a PEX tubing (not the best choice for this dragon) and PVC armature, covered in cotton fabric as a base, with heat formed EVA foam and Apoxie Sculpt features added on top. The EVA and Apoxie form most of what you see of him.
