DIY Sound Detector with Raspberry Pi and an Old Android @Raspberry_Pi #PiDay #RaspberryPi

What do you do with that old Android device? One thing you can do is make a sound detector. What is a sound detector, you ask? It’s a microphone. Previously Amir Pournasserian of MIT offered a project on how to turn your old Android device as a security camera system — this time around Amir has a project that will turn your Android device into spyware. More from hackster.io:

No one pays attention anymore to a phone left on the table, or a phone on the ground charging, especially if that phone is an older model Android (some Android devices have terrible resale value). This means that these are the perfect devices to use for your home security. They have high tech software with access to a massive inventory of applications through Google Play Store, and they have great hardware like their cameras, sensors, and most important for this project, a good microphone.
